Pigeon Proofing in Tempe, AZ
Pigeon proofing in Tempe for solar panels, flat roofs and rentals. Nest removal, cleanup and mesh barriers that keep birds out. Get a free estimate.
Tempe has an unusually large urban pigeon population for its size, helped along by the busy campus area, Tempe Town Lake and the canal paths [CONFIRM]. Birds that feed in those areas look for nearby rooftops to roost, and solar arrays on older flat-roof homes make easy targets.
On flat roofs, pigeons often nest along the low edge of tilted panel frames, and their droppings run toward roof drains. Left alone, that can lead to clogged drains and standing water after a storm [CONFIRM].
We remove nests, clean the roof surface and the panel undersides, and then wrap the array in mesh fitted to its frame. On ledges and parapets, spikes keep birds from landing. For rental properties, we work with the tenant to set a time and send the finished photos to the owner or property manager.
Older Tempe homes with evaporative coolers on the roof also get a check, since pigeons like to perch on and around the cooler housing.
